Welcome to the website of The Rotary Club of Auchterarder & District. The Club was chartered in 1981 and currently has 16 members. Our membership is drawn from the town of Auchterarder and the surrounding area including the villages of Aberuthven, Blackford, Braco, Dunning and Muthill.

As Rotarians we endeavour to fully support our local community and are particularly active in youth support including annual Rotary competitions, Primary School Quiz, RYLA (a leadership week for young people) and Awards recognising the achievements of Young Sports Persons and Sports Ambassadors,, amongst many other regular or ad hoc events. We work in partnership with local businesses, networking and encouraging membership.

Our support for International causes include, amongst others, contributions to Turkey/Syria Earthquake Appeal and 'End Polio Now'.

Visiting Rotarians from around the World are assured of a very warm welcome.

We welcome enquiries about membership from anyone interested in who we are and what we do.

Our Work

Since 1988, we've seen a worldwide reduction in polio cases of 99.9%. Only two countries remain polio-endemic: Afghanistan and Pakistan.



Turkey & Syria Disaster appeal.

Contributions received will help affected communities in Turkey & Syria once the rubble has been cleared.

Aim for Junior & Young Sportspersons Awards is to:

  • Celebrate podium success in competitive sport at local, district and national level
  • Recognise personal achievement in competition and Squad selection
  • Recognise the worth of being a positive role model in School, Club and Community

Aim for Young Sports Ambassador of the Year Award is to:

  • Acknowledge the achievements of young coaches in developing their chosen sport
  • Recognise those who volunteer their time in Clubs, Events and at competitions
  • Recognise the benefits of achieving Coaching Qualifications whilst still in training
  • To be a positive role model, thereby encouraging others to participate in sport and active recreation

Aim for Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is to:

  • Develop Leadership and team building skills through a programme of outdoor activitie, challenges and adventures

The AP CREW are supporting the ‘Creative Journey’ for participants of the Rotary Youth Competitions, through 3 workshops aiming to provide coaching, mentoring and support. We would like to ensure there are no barriers for participation, which includes the AP CREW providing equipment and materials if needed. We also plan to exhibit the contributions during the AP CREW Cinema Events, Art Exhibitions and Book Festivals. The specific AP CREW workshops are for Young Artist, Young Photographer, Young Writer & Young Filmmaker participants.
